Marlborough (A) 5 - 0 Bath Buccs (H) - Saturday 7 November
Marlborough 'A' travelled to Bath on Saturday to start a game when they are normally settling down to their first hot chocolate of the early evening!
Undeterred by this lack of cocoa in their bloodstream they determined to try and start this game, where they had so commandingly left off the previous week.
Early signs were good, with the greater pressure exerted by Marlborough. This unrelenting style soon delivered a goal, which rather than calm Marlborough, seemed to increase their goal-lust.
The three goals which were added in fairly short order, sealed the game by half- time.
The second half was a more subdued affair for the previously rampant Marlborough, who were guilty of not keeping to their successful team formation; with too many players building their part up!
The fact that the second half only saw one goal for Marlborough is a stark lesson in maintaining discipline against all opposition.
Final score 5-0.
